Covid-19 claims 21 more lives in Punjab
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 21 more lives across Punjab over the past 24 hours.
According to the data shared by the spokesperson of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), 1,653 fresh infections were reported in Punjab after which the number of coronavirus cases swelled across 185,460.
The total recoveries were 169,752 and total deaths reached in Punjab 5,752.
The P&SHD confirmed that 973 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, two in Kasur, one in Nankana Sahib, 14 in Sheikhupura, 73 in Rawalpindi, two in Chakwal, 30 in Jhelum, 81 in Gujranwala, 30 in Mandi Bahauddin, six in Narowal, 12 in Hafizabad, 76 in Sialkot, 66 in Gujrat, 96 in Faisalabad, nine in Toba Tek Singh and 23 in Chiniot.

Moreover, two virus cases were reported in Jhang, 22 in Sargodha, seven in Bhakkar, 27 in Khushab, 22 in Multan, two in Vehari, one in Khanewal, one in Lodhran, eight in Dera Ghazi Khan, four in Layyah, one in Rajanpur, 11 in Bahawalpur, two in Bahawalnagar, 19 in Rahim Yar Khan, 18 in Okara, one in Pakpattan and 11 in Sahiwal district during the past 24 hours. Punjab Health Department had so far conducted 3,513,173 tests for Covid-19.
The health department urged the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.
The people should wash their hands with soap several times in a day to protect themselves from Covid-19.
