Four die in buses’ collision

BUREWALA:

At least four passengers were killed when two buses collided with each other on Saturday morning. The accident occurred on Vehari Road where a bus collided with a coaster while overtaking it.

As a result, four passengers including two children and a women travelling in the coaster died on the spot while 15 others sustained multiple injuries.

Rescue officials said that both the buses were carrying passengers coming to Multan from other cities. According to Rescue Safety Officer Abdul Jabbar injured persons were moved to nearby hospital and addresses of their families were being traced to place information.

In a similar accident on January 7, a bus crushed three people to death near Chak No 469GB Ada Boharwali Pull, Dijkot. Reportedly, the accident took place due to the negligence of the driver.

The driver was allegedly speeding and lost control over the vehicle, which resulted in the incident.

On December 1, at least 13 people, including seven members of a family, were burnt alive and 34 others injured after a collision between a passenger van and a bus near Narang Mandi, Lahore. The accident took place 4km away from Narang Mandi on Kala Khatai Road near Darbar Syed Miran.
