Victim was fatally hit on head with brick

DIJKOT:

A man killed his cousin by hitting him on the head with a brick after an altercation over climbing on the rooftop of a house in Mahmoodabad.

Police officials said Hanif Saleem, a factory worker and resident of Mahmoodabad, climbed on the rooftop of his house, after which he got embroiled in a quarrel with his cousin Usman.

There was an exchange of abusive words between the two cousins, after which Usman along with his mother Hamidan Bibi hit Hanif with bricks, the police alleged. One of the bricks hit the victim on his head due to which he was critically injured. He was taken to Allied Hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to the injuries.

On the compliant of a cousin of the deceased, the police reached the spot. They handed over the body to the family of the deceased after postmortem and arrested the suspect after registering a case.
