The final nominations for this year's BAFTAs were announced on Tuesday and Indian actor Adarsh Gourav earned a nod in the Best Actor category for his performance in Ramin Bahrani's The White Tiger. Also starring Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao, the film itself earned a nod for the Best Adapted Screenplay.

Chopra, who is also executive producer of the film, took to her Instagram to congratulated her White Tiger co-star. “What a proud moment for Indian talent with 2 BAFTA nominations for an all Indian star cast!” she wrote.

The Quantico star added, “Ecstatic for you @gouravadarsh, you are so deserving of this recognition, and congratulations #RaminBahrani, so well deserved. I feel extremely proud to have been an executive producer on this movie! Let’s get it!" she concluded.

Prior to this, Chopra also revealed that she is opening her own Indian restaurant in New York, with the name of ‘Sona’.

Taking to her Instagram over the weekend, she shared photos from an intimate prayer ceremony that took place in 2019, to make the announcement. “I’m thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into,” she captioned her post.

She added, “SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavours I grew up with. The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef @harinayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country.”

She revealed that her beloved restaurant will be opening later in March, and she cannot wait to welcome her overseas countrymen there. The actor added that some of the photos shared by her were from September 2019, when she and her husband Nick Jonas “performed a small intimate Puja (prayer ceremony) to bless the space that would soon become @sonanewyork.”

According to the description of the restaurant, Sona is a “Timeless India in the heart of NYC."
