KARACHI:

The Counter Terrorism Department Police has requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to provide the joint-investigation team's report on an alleged Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London terrorist to the Belgium embassy in Pakistan, it emerged on Thursday.

In a letter to MoFA, CTD DIG Omar Shahid Hamid wrote that the alleged terrorist, Wahid Hussain alias Guddu alias Sodagar, was arrested in a raid by his department last month. A JIT was subsequently formed.

The suspect holds dual nationality of Belgium and Pakistan, the DIG apprised.

During interrogation, Hussain has named Arif Ajakia, Saleem Belgium and others as his associates, who have committed different crimes in Belgium, wrote the DIG.

In view of this, Hamid requested MoFA to share the JIT report with the Belgium embassy so that legal action may be taken against the suspects accordingly.
