Lancashire’s Friends Life T20 campaign was dealt a blow with Pakistan fast-bowler Junaid Khan being ruled out of Finals Day, where Lancashire face Leicestershire in the semi-final. The left-armer will be joining the Pakistan squad for the Zimbabwe tour. Lancashire are appealing to the Pakistan Cricket Board for Junaid to be released with cricket director Mike Watkinson pleased at Junaid’s performance. “We’re interested in him coming back next year,” said Watkinson. “Although there’s so much that can happen, it would be good to keep the relationship going.”
