225 new Covid cases, one death reported

Just one coronavirus-related death was reported in Sindh on Monday, when 225 fresh infections were detected in the province, according to a statement issued by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the day.
The CM said with following the recent death and new cases, Sindh's Covid-19 tally had climbed to 256,444, and the contagion death toll had increased to 4,293.
According to the CM, of the new cases, 110 belonged to Karachi, 27 to Badin, 13 to Hyderabad, 11 to Shaheed Benazirabad, nine to Ghotki, eight to Jamshoro, seven to Naushero Feroze, five to Larkana, Matiari, Sujawal and Thatta each, three to Mirpurkhas, Jacobabad and Qambar-Shahdadkot each, two to Umerkot and one to Sanghar.
Besides, the CM said 175 more Covid-19 patients had regained health, lifting the total number of recoveries in the province to 239,286.
He said 12,865 patients were under treatment on the day, with 12,419 in home isolation, 11 in isolation centres and 435 in hospitals. The CM added that the condition of 397 patients was critical and 55 were on ventilators.
