Bosnian envoy invites Pakistani investors
Pakistani investors should avail themselves of emerging business opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said Ambassador of Bosnia to Pakistan Sakib Foric.
Talking to business community at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) on Friday, he appreciated the services of Pakistanis who participated in the UN peace mission in Bosnia.
Acknowledging close affinity between the people of Pakistan and Bosnia, he called for translating these relations into strong economic ties.
He added that compared to Pakistan, Bosnia was a very small nation with a population of just three million.
“Bosnia is a member of NATO and it has a huge potential to develop tourism,” he said.
The country had built 20 hotels in Sarajevo to accommodate foreign visitors and tourists, the envoy pointed out.
Foric highlighted that Bosnia had introduced a highly liberal economic policy under which foreign investors could start their business with or without local partner.
“Pakistan can establish its textile units in Bosnia for re-export to adjoining countries,” he said.
