Case registration desk at principal seatChief Justice (CJ) Gulzar Ahmed on Tuesday inaugurated a case registration desk at the Supreme Court (SC) in Islamabad.

He acknowledged the role played by Information Technology Affairs Committee (ITAC) headed by Justice Mushir Alam, Senior Puisne Judge Supreme Court, Islamabad to digitalise SC. The CJ said that the facility would improve the dispensation of justice to provide a speedy process to the public at large.

The desk would provide services such as allocation of diary number, real-time verification of Computerised National Identity Card or thumb impression of litigants/Advocate-on-Record (AOR) by National Database Regulatory Authority, and generating and printing of e-affidavit.

In the first instance, the system has been installed at the Principal Seat in the federal capital that will be further replicated at branch registries.
