Robbers have a field day in capital
Valuables worth a sizeable sum were stolen in different incidents of robberies in the federal capital.
According to details available a car, three motorcycles, jewellery and other valuables estimated to be worth more than Rs2 million were stolen at gunpoint.
However, police of the concerned police stations failed in their efforts to make an arrest and could not trace the stolen vehicles and other belongings.
Abdul Rehman told Tarnol police that armed men had snatched Rs600,000 from him at gunpoint near Sangjani and shot him in the leg and injured him.
Anwar Shah told Karachi Company police that unknown persons broke into his shop located at G-9/1 and snatched Rs75,000 cash.
Another victim Ahsan Ali, told Karachi Company police that his car bearing No ALA 945 was stolen from outside his house located in G-9 II.
Dilbar Mehdi's Honda 70 CC motorcycle was stolen from under Block 9/4
Munawar Hussain informed the Coral Police that unknown persons stole cash, bonds and jewellery worth Rs 575,000 from his house in Alipur.
Iron bars were stolen from Muhammad Ahmed's warehouse in Gulberg.
One Naimatullah's motorcycle was stolen from outside his house in Ghauri Town.
Mujahid Khan told Coral Police that his motorcycle Honda 125cc was stolen from Gulberg parking area. Relevant police stations registered cases but no progress could be made in the investigation.
