Crimes against women on the rise

Two young girls were abducted in Bani Gala while the police did not take any action despite identification of suspects

ISLAMABAD:

Amid rising cases of crimes against women, a beauty parlour owner was kidnapped, assaulted and dumped by a suspect she knew personally.

The victim told the Sihala police that she was returning home from her beauty parlor when she was intercepted by the accused, Ahmed and his accomplice. The suspects forced her into a car at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her inside the vehicle. It was a sedan with black tinted glasses, she said.

The suspects snatched Rs95000, and then threw her outside the car on the road, the victim stated. No progress with regards to investigation or arrest of the suspects has been made so far.

Two kidnapped

Two young girls were abducted within the limits of Bani Gala Police Station while the police did not take any action despite identification of the suspects.

Muhammad Imran, a resident of Komlot, filed a complaint with the Bani Gala Police that suspect Allah Ditta along with his friend had kidnapped his 16-year-old sister.

Although Imran gave details of the alleged kidnapers, police made no arrests. Similarly, Arshad Mahmood, told the police that Shazib along with his two friends kidnapped his 18-year-old sister for sexual assault. Police have did not recover the kidnapped girl despite the fact that the complainant had identified the suspect and his residence.
