Two women among four murdered in Dijikot
Four persons including two women were allegedly murdered in separate incidents in Dijkot on Saturday.
Police said that in Allahabad, a man allegedly shot dead his ex-wife, her second husband and a friend of hers.
Police registered a case of triple murder and started searching for the alleged murderers.
According to the police report, 30-year-old Muhammad Adnan, the son of Irshad and a resident of Mohalla Ahmedabad, in Satiana Road, Mohalla Elahiabad Street No 7, had returned to his house with his wife, Sumaira Bibi, 35, and her friend Sumaira, 30, the wife of Raza Abbas and a resident of Satiana Road.
Reportedly, Sumaira was divorced from Tanveer Gujjar and later married Adnan.
When the couple and their friend had arrived in the street outside the house, Sumaira’s ex-husband Tanveer and his nephews identified as Sohail Gujjar and Zohaib Gujjar opened fire on them.
All three victims sustained serious bullet injuries.
The couple died on the spot while the victim’s friend Sumaira, the wife of Raza, succumbed to her injuries after she was shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
A passerby identified as 12-year-old boy named Ahmed, the son of Shahbaz, was also injured in the firing. He was shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
According to Saddar SHO Inspector Ayub Sahi, the victim, Sumaira Bibi had divorced Tanveer five years ago and married Adnan, a painter, and rented a house in Mohalla Ahmedabad. On the day of the incident, Sohail and Zohaib saw Sumaira, her husband and their friend riding on a motorcycle. They got into an argument over a previous family dispute, after which the deranged suspects shot them and fled from the crime scene.
In a separate incident, opponents killed a young man who was going to court to attend a hearing. According to the police report, Sabir Khan, 28, the son of Dilawar Khan and a resident of Djikot, was going on a motorcycle to attend a court hearing of a murder case when motorcyclists who were following him near Dera Rana Sanaullah on Pul-e-Abdullah Sammundari Road opened fire. Sabir died on the spot.
The firing spread fear and panic in the area and a large number of citizens gathered at the crime scene. D-Type Colony SHO arrived at the scene late despite repeated calls, according to the locals.
Rescue 15 had been receiving repeated calls from citizens. D-Type Colony police shifted the body to a hospital for postmortem
