There’s a ‘pawri’ on Twitter and celebs can’t help but join in
It’s never too late to ‘pawri’ especially when someone’s meme game is strong. Just like Instagram influencer Dananeer, whose quirky representation of ‘borgers’ upon visiting the Northern areas of Pakistan has taken social media by the storm.
The purpose of the clip was to take a dig at a certain gentry and since the video went viral, many have shared their own improvisation of it on Twitter.
The trend #PawriHoriHai (Party is taking place) also transcended borders and to everyone's amusement, has turned into a catchy song, courtesy of Indian memer Yashraj Mukhate. The Kokila Ben famed content creator shared his own take on the viral clip, and turned it into an upbeat, hilarious track. So thanks to him and Dananeer, we can no longer say party anymore.
Of course, the Islamabad-based influencer who has now turned into meme surely did not expect to become so famous within just a couple of days. And now, even celebrities including Saba Qamar, Aijaz Aslam, Falak Shabbir, Hania Aamir and Wasim Akram have shared their own take on it.
