Biden to address Myanmar coup, expected to announce sanctions against military

President Joe Biden will on Wednesday deliver remarks on the US response the February 1 military coup in Myanmar, the White House said.
Biden was expected to announce sanctions on those responsible for the takeover, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The United States has already determined the military’s actions a coup d’etat, triggering restrictions on aid to the country, and Biden has threatened to impose fresh sanctions.
