RAWALPINDI:

Owing to the burden of corruption cases, the provincial ministry has designated a new courtroom for the purpose, officials said on Sunday.

The Punjab Law Ministry has selected a new courtroom for the fourth accountability court of the Rawalpindi division, which will become functional later this month, they said.

This new accountability court will be called Accountability Court No 4 in Rawalpindi. The new court is being built on the second floor of the old court complex with three other accountability courts. Staff for the new court will be deployed next week. A special anti-terrorism court for Rawalpindi division is being formally disbanded this year.
