ISLAMABAD:

Artists paid tribute to the struggle of the Kashmiri people against the brutalities of the occupation forces in the illegally Indian Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK) through a play staged at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts.

The play Zindaan or the prison depicted the plight of the people of the occupied valley and the brutalities of the Indian forces. The stage performance was part of multiple events PNCA had organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The series of events started with children's activities in which students from various educational institutions of the twin cities participated. They performed tableaus, speeches, skits and patriotic songs. PNCA Director General Dr Fouzia Saeed appreciated the efforts of all the participants and their beautiful performances. She enlightened the children on the importance of freedom on both individual and collective levels.

Moreover, there was a photo exhibition of images of human rights violations in IIOJK. That pictorial display was meant to highlight the sacrifices and the struggle of people living in IIOJK.
