Capital Police to strengthen ties with community
The capital territory police, being a professional force, is making efforts to promote relations with the community and win public support through resolving issues at their doorsteps.
It was stated by Saddar Zone SP Sarfraz Virk while speaking to the participants at a public hearing at the Ramna police station.
The Kutchery was attended among others by SDPOs, Ramna police station SHO, members of conciliatory committees, notable people of the area and complainants.
SP Virk said that Islamabad police has launched an effective crackdown against drug dealers, land grabbers and robbers. He said that e-conciliatory committees would be made more effective to help in an out-of-court settlement of trivial issues of the people.
He listened to the problems of the people and directed officers concerned to resolve the complaints on merit so that people could trust the police.
He said there was a need to promote people-friendly police culture.
