Suspect used to give sleeping pills to his wife during night

Police have arrested a man accused by his wife of raping their daughter at gunpoint.

The suspect was arrested after the area police registered a case against him.

According to a police report, the complaint was filed by Halima Bibi, wife of Naveed, a resident of Chak 439GB.

The complainant alleged that her husband had been harassing their 16-year-old daughter and had sexually assaulted her during the past three months.

She stated that when she became suspicious and confronted her husband about the matter, he got angry. “He threatened me and my daughter with a 32-bore pistol a d said he would kill both of us if I mentioned this in front of anyone.”

The complainant stated that afterwards the suspect started giving her narcotic pills in tea at night, making her sleep deeply.

Taking advantage of this, the suspect molested the girl at night, she alleged.

She stayed that on Monday night she avoided drinking the tea and watched her husband.

The complainant added that when she saw her husband assaulting her daughter, she started shouting for help, took the girl to parents’ house and informed her brother about the matter.

Sadar police arrested the suspect and registered a case under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code. According to the police, the suspect works in a power loom. Police officials said medical tests of the victim were being done.

In another incident, Mohammad Zeeshan and Zakir Hussain allegedly took the daughter of Sadiq, a resident of Hassanpura Dhadiwala, to a house in Iqbal Colony on the pretext of giving her a job and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. In Meanwhile, Zubair, son of Zakirullah, a resident of Iqbal Town, Ghulam Muhammadabad, was accused in a case of sexually assaulting the wife of his colleague in Civil Hospital, Ashfaq Ahmed. The incident reportedly took place at the home of the victim in Madina Chowk area of Ghulam Muhammadabad.

According to another case registered by the police, 28-year-old Ansar, son of Akram and 27-year-old Ashraf, son of Sharif, residents of Chak 469GB, entered a house and allegedly sexually assaulted the wife of Khaliq Hussain, a resident of Gujjar Basti in Samundri village. The victim’s husband had gone to work.

The police registered cases against the accused under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code started efforts to arrest them.
