Fourth-grader got into a car accident while shooting a video

A fourth-grader was killed in a car accident while filming a video for popular video-sharing platform TikTok on Monday.

The deceased, identified as a 12-year-old Adnan Arshad, who had gone to his aunt’s house in Chak No. 114 JB Bialgarh Millat Road. There he saw a cut in the net on the motorway near his house and went to the motorway for making the video. Meanwhile, the driver of a speeding car coming from behind hit the boy who succumbed to his injuries.

Adnan’s father, Arshad, works as a labourer to run the household.

Chak Jhumra SHO Rai Arshad said the incident of death of the child took place in Nishatabad police station while Afzal Cheema, SHO of Nishatabad police station said that the incident took place within the limits of Sahiyanwala police station.

The body of the deceased was handed over to his family and he was buried in the Christian Cemetery of Nawabwala Ali Town. “We were pressured by the police to state that the child did not have a mobile phone and was not making any videos,” said Abid, Adnan’s cousin.
