Allegations against ‘Darul Atfal’ in Peshawar termed baseless

Investigating committee did not find anything unusual at any Darul Atfal centres

PESHAWAR:

A three-member community formed to investigate harassment allegations at Darul Atfal centres in Peshawar did not find any evidence to prove the aforementioned claims.

On directives of the Additional Secretary Social Welfare K-P, the investigating committee did not find anything unusual at any Darul Atfal centers.

The committee comprised of Muhammad Khalid Deputy Director Women’s Empowerment, Nadia Shah Assistant Director Registration and Salma Bibi, Coordinator Bolo Helpline to investigate the harassment allegations of residents residing in the orphanage, physical assault of orphan children especially girls, selling of donation items.
