‘Govt will provide all facilities for Tablighi ijtema’

KARACHI:

The Sindh government will provide all facilities to the organisers of the annual Tablighi ijtema beginning February 4, said Sindh Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Sunday.

During his visit to the site in Orangi Town, where the religious gathering will be held, Shah, directed the district administration to prepare a security plan for the gathering, and to construct the road from New Nazimabad to the gathering hall.

Shah, who also holds the portfolio of the religious affairs department, assured the organisers that illegal occupations by the doors of the hall. would be removed.

The provincial minister was given a tour of the site and he assured that special arrangements would be made for sanitation and water supply. He advised the organisers to ensure implementation of coronavirus-related SOPs.

Shah was accompanied by the CM’s coordinator, Shehzad Memon, the chief engineer of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board executive director and other officials.
