The Islamabad Police has launched a crackdown against professional alms-seekers and nabbed 376 from various areas in the city in the last three days, a spokesperson shared on Friday. The campaign was started following the directives of IGP Qazi Jamilur Rehman, the official added. DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar held a meeting in this regard with all zonal superintendents, asking them to form special squads for this purpose as the alms-seekers and their handlers were shifted to the relevant police stations.
