Development to benefit underserved people: Asad Umar

Asad Umar laid the foundation stone of Railway Road at Shams Colony close to Srinagar Highway

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar laid the foundation stone of Railway Road at Shams Colony close to Srinagar Highway on Thursday.

The underserved people will get fruits of development too, he said while speaking at the road project launch in Shams Colony.

The minister said the 2.5km-long road to be constructed at a cost of Rs84 million would connect Shams Colony, Khayyam Town, and Dhok Salman with Srinagar Highway. The construction of the road will be completed by the end of this year.

Residents of Shams Colony and adjoining areas thanked the minister and said that he had done the work pending for the last 70 years in just two years. They hoped that the ministry would continue to support the residents.
