40 die of Covid in 24 hours

The number of coronavirus cases in the province soared to 154,717

LAHORE:

The coronavirus pandemic claimed another 40 lives in 24 hours and at least 700 new cases of the disease were reported across Punjab on Tuesday.

According to data shared by the spokesperson for Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), the number of coronavirus cases in the province soared to 154,717 whereas the death toll tipped at 4,608.

The P&SHD confirmed that 395 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, 45 in Faisalabad, 44 in Okara, 32 in Rahim Yar Khan, 26 in Rawalpindi, 25 in Multan, 25 in Gujrat, 16 in Sargodha, 14 in Sialkot, 12 in Bahawalpur,11 in Bahawalnagar and 10 in Dera Ghazi Khan.
