Bollywood icon Priyanka Chopra’s latest film The White Tiger, which released on Netflix on January 22, has been trending globally ever since then. Also starring Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav, The White Tiger is based on Aravind Adiga’s award-winning novel of the same name.

Chopra recently took to Instagram and shared an emotional note and expressed her gratitude to everyone for watching the film. The former Miss World penned, “Ending the opening weekend with a full heart. I’m blown away by the love for The White Tiger’s release on Netflix this weekend. Your support in watching this film has made it trend globally in the top 10 in less than 48 hours + counting. Thank you to every one of you who watched, posted, shared amazing reviews and held space for this incredible cast and crew.”

Talking about how she approaches every character she plays, along with some pictures from The White Tiger's sets, Chopra wrote, “I approach every role with one question - how does this character impact the story? In The White Tiger, Pinky is the catalyst of change for Balram...she lights the fire that ultimately leads him down a different path than the one he is on. But is that path the right one? Ok, no spoilers. But if you HAVE watched the film, comment below and tell me what you thought!”

In The White Tiger, Chopra plays the role of Pinky, a first-generation immigrant in the US. Rao plays her rich husband, whereas Gourav essays the role of Balram who fights the vicious circle of poverty. On the work front, the starlet will next be seen in Text For You. Directed by Jim Strouse, the film also stars Sam Heughan, Celine Dion, Russell Tovey and Omid Djalili. The story is about a young woman grieving the death of her fiancé.

Chopra will also be seen in Matrix 4 and a film based on the life of Maa Anand Sheela.
