Larry King, broadcasting giant for half-century, dies at 87

Popular TV host Larry King has passed away at 87, CNN reported. The celebrity has been known for The Larry King Show since 1978. King died of Covid-19 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

“With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” King’s official Twitter announced Saturday.

A statement posted online by his Ora Media company confirmed the sad news "With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the sad death of our co-founder, host and friend Larry King. For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry's may thousands of interviews, awards and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster."

The funeral services and a memorial service will be announced later said the media company in co-ordination with the King family, who have asked for privacy at this time.
