Five killed over family feud in Lakki Marwat

They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they also succumbed to their injuries

PESHAWAR/ LAKKI MARWAT:

At least five people were gunned down over a family feud in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district.

Local police told The Express Tribune that near Government Primary School, Mohalla Baghbanan, unknown people opened fire in which three people were killed and two were left seriously injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they also succumbed to their injuries.

Police said that the deceased had been identified as Khadim Khan, Syed Alam and Awal Khan. Two injured Jehangir and Fuji succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, bringing the death toll to 5 in the incident.

Police said that as per initial reports Awal Khan and Syed Alam had been released from prison on Wednesday morning and they were the target of the attack. But apparently three passersby were also killed in the firing.

Policeman killed

A special branch constable Zaitullah Khan was killed over a verbal dispute by another policeman here in the Namak Mandi area of the city.
