Cattle market to be cleared of land grabbers

RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Commissioner Muhammad Mehmood directed the authorities concerned to take action against land grabbers.

He directed that the area of Channi Alam Sher cattle market should be cleared so it could be made fully functional.

Mehmood said this while presiding over a meeting of the Board of Directors (BoD) of Cattle Market Management Company held here on Wednesday.

The commissioner shared that recruitment for vacant senior posts of the Cattle Market Management Company would significantly improve its performance and the biggest challenge for the new officers would be to promote the market, which has the potential to become the largest cattle market of the city due to its ideal location.
