Mercury may drop as low as 8 degrees Celsius

Another cold wave is expected to hit the metropolis between January 24 and 26, during which mercury may drop as low as 8 degrees Celsius again. According to the MET department’s spokesperson, Khalid Malik, a new Western system is likely to impact the country from January 23. Under the new system, the port city is likely to witness a cold spell of three to four days, said Malik.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the temperature dropped as low as 10 degrees Celsius and was recorded as high as 27.3 degrees Celsius. The weather is likely to remain cold and dry today (Tuesday) .
