Nonagenarian  burnt to death in house fire

Police officials said that they were investigating the matter further

KASUR:

An elderly man was burnt to death in the city on Sunday.

According to the police report, Juma Khan, 90, of Khara village, was sleeping in his house after burning woods to beat the cold when a sheet of his charpoy caught fire.

The 90-year-old man sustained severe burn injuries and reportedly died on the spot.

The old man was alone at home during the fire accident.

Police officials said that they were investigating the matter further.

In a separate incident, a rickshaw driver identified as Khalid, 27, was killed when his three-wheeler overturned. The accident took place near Mirkot canal Chunian due to overspeeding.
