Call for Jihad: Case registered against 8 Jaish-i-Muhammad leaders
Eight leaders of a banned militant organization preach jihad against certain political personalities

Daska Saddar police have registered a case against eight leaders of a banned militant organization for preaching jihad against certain political personalities.
According to police officials, an FIR was lodged against eight Jaish-i-Muhammad leaders under the Amplifier Act for preaching jihad and collecting funds for this purpose. The case has been registered on the report of sub inspector Liaqat Ali, three weeks after the incident.
According to the FIR lodged under 11-F ATA and 3-4 of the Amplifier Act, the eight leaders of defunct Jaish-i-Muhammad include Mualana Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar, Mualana Shafiq Ahmed, Mualana Muhammad Ilyas Qasmi from Gujranwala, Qari Asad Ullah, Qari Ashfaq Ahmed, Qari Muhammad Abbas from Multan, Qari Muhammad Ashraf from Bahawalpur and Chaudhry Arshad Ali from Daska. The accused were inciting hatred and violence against politicians and had openly announced volunteers to help collect funds for Jihad during the Azmat-i-Quran Conference on July 17 at Darul Uloom Abdul Bin Mubarak in Mundeyki Goraya. More than 2,500 persons had attended the conference.
