NESPAK preparing feasibility report of gas pipeline
First part of the report on Iran-Pakistan project to take 14 months.

National Engineering Services of Pakistan (Nespak) has said it is busy preparing a feasibility study report on the $7.5 billion Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.
A consultancy services agreement for stage-1 of the project has already been signed between Interstate Gas System (Private) Limited, Pakistan and a joint venture of Nespak and ILF Beratende Ingenievre Gmbh, Germany.
According to Nespak, the first stage of the feasibility report will take 14 months after which work on the second stage will begin along with construction of the pipeline, scheduled to be completed by December 2014.
The pipeline will connect Iran’s giant south Pars gas field with Pakistan’s Balochistan and Sindh provinces.
Pakistan will construct a 700km-long pipeline from its border passing through Mekran coastal highway to the gas transmission network at Nawabshah.
