ISLAMABAD:

Balochistan Parliamentary Secretary for Information Bushra Rind said India was behind the terror incident involving the killing of 11 coal miners in the Machh area of the province.

“Our sympathies are with the Hazara community, especially with the bereaved families of coal miners,” said Rind while holding a press conference at the National Press Club on Monday.

Islamic State, also known as Da’ish, had claimed responsibility for the attack, through its Amaq news agency via its Telegram communications channel.

The parliamentary secretary condemned the attack, saying the anti-national elements wanted to vitiate the law and order situation in the province.

She further noted the investigation of the Machh terrorist incident was underway on the directives of Chief Minister Jam Kamal and the evil elements would be brought to justice.

India and other anti-Pakistan elements wanted to sabotage China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through such terrorist activities, she added.

Talking about Pakistan Democratic Moment (PDM), she said the opposition alliance intended to spread chaos in the country as the nation had rejected their narrative. Rind noted the PDM was causing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic among the public.

Rind also accused Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and other former rulers of weakening the roots of the country. The role of the nationalist parties in Balochistan was also very disappointing, she added.

The Balochistan government had taken multiple steps to promote tourism across the province, saying the administration had made historic strides in agriculture, health, education and other areas.
