Commissioner orders collection of Covid death data

ABBOTABAD:

Credible data is necessary to assess a crisis situation, therefore, actual number of deaths caused by the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) should be recorded accurately, said Hazara Division Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud on Saturday.

“Data of deaths caused by pandemic will be collected through a survey in Hazara division,” he said chairing a meeting to discuss issue regarding Covid-19, anti-polio drive, dengue fever and illegal logging in the division.

He directed the concerned sections to provide required data within a week. Mehsud said anti-polio drive would start from January 11 and continue till January 15.
