Crack down on Illegal gas compressors

The Peshawar District Administration along with the Sui Gas department launched a crackdown against the illegal usage of compressors to extract gas.

Administrative officers carried out targeted activities at Hayatabad, University Road, GT Road, the interior City and other parts of the Metropolis including markets.

They confiscated 144 gas compressors and registered FIRs against 140 culprits under the Gas (Theft Control and Recovery) Act, 2016.

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Muhammad Ali Asghar, said that indulgence in this illegal activity disturbs the normal gas pressure in the transmission lines while depriving rest of the domestic and commercial users. He added that the operation
