1,232 more Covid cases emerge in Sindh
Sindh has reported 1,232 fresh Covid-19 cases, said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday, adding that the virus tally had increased to 214,425 in the province.
CM Shah stated that 12,940 samples were tested between Tuesday and Wednesday, of which 9.5 per cent turned out to be infected.
Moreover, another 13 coronavirus patients have died, lifting the death toll to 3,533, he added.
On the other hand, 3,501 more patients have recovered from the contagious disease, lifting the total number of recovered patients in Sindh to 194,651.
The chief minister further said 16,241 people were currently infected by the virus in the province, of whom 15,500 were in home isolation, 728 were being treated in different hospitals and 13 were in isolation centres. He added that the condition of 657 patients was critical and 78 of them were on ventilators.
According to Shah, of the new cases, 989 had emerged in the provincial capital alone, with 448 detected in East district, 251 in South district, 90 in Korangi, 77 in Central district, 66 in West district and 57 in Malir.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad saw 64 new cases, Badin 26, Sujawal 19, Qambar-Shahdadkot 15, Tando Muhammad Khan 11, Dadu 10, Jamshoro and Naushero Feroze eight, Sukkur seven, Khairpur, Matiari and Thatta six each, Ghotki and Tando Allahyar five each, Shikarpur four, Umerkot three and Larkana two.
