Govt outsources 7 more hospitals in tribal districts

With an aim to improve the health facilities in the far-flung areas

PESHAWAR:

The provincial government has decided to outsource seven more hospitals under its public-private partnership program.

A formal announcement was made in this regard by the provincial Health and Finance Minister Tamur Saleem Jhagra during his visit to Sohlam Hospital, South Waziristan. He was accompanied by other high ranking officials.

On this occasion the minister said that the PTI government was outsourcing the hospitals to the private sector in the tribal districts with an aim to improve the health facilities in the far-flung areas of the province.

The minister visited different wards of the hospital and said that seven hospitals are being outsourced and the government had allocated a large sum for the health sector in its current budget.

He met the patients and talked to them about the facilities available in the hospitals.
