LAHORE:

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government has eliminated political interference in the national institutions.

“The previous governments destroyed every institution with their political interference but ever since PTI came to power, practical steps were taken to strengthen parliament.”

Speaking to the PTI Central Punjab Deputy Secretary Information Rana Akhtar Hussain and Mehr Naeemullah Taj at Governor's House on Saturday, Sarwar said, “Thanks to the successful strategy of the government, today Pakistan is successfully advancing on every front, including economic and diplomatic.”

He added that the general elections will be held in 2023. “The government is strong and stable. Long marches and rallies will not make any difference. Conspiracies to halt the country's progress will be thwarted.”

The people are not with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), he claimed. “Instead they are with democracy, rule of law and the government's narrative.” He further said that the opposition should now reconsider its politics of protest.

He stated that Pakistan's development in the economic field was also being acknowledged by the world. “For the first time in 30 years, the industry is being fully restored in Punjab and new employment opportunities are being provided to the people despite all the negative propaganda of the PDM. The country will continue to move forward on every front,” he maintained.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan is on a mission for the progress and prosperity of the country.”
