Woman, minor sexually assaulted

A married woman and an 11-year-old hotel employee were sexually assaulted on Friday.

Police registered separate cases against the suspects and are conducting to arrest the accused. According to the police, in the case filed by the complainant, a resident of Sajjad Town in Rafiq Colony Kokianwala, it was pointed out that the victim was trapped by her relative Sonia Bano to join her for a shopping visit to a nearby market. The accused had reportedly requested the victim to accompany her to the market to buy a bedsheet. Both of them arrived at the market in a rickshaw where a man identified as Ali Hassan was already waiting for the duo in a car. The victim said that Sonia asked her to sit in Ali Hassan’s car and they took her to a house of his acquaintance near Iqbal Stadium.

“As soon as we sat inside the quarter, Ali pointed a gun at me threatening to kill me while Sonia walked out. He asked me to give in to the sexual abuse and tortured me when I resisted him,” the victim detailed. She also stated that her relative who put her through this is a divorced woman and often visited her house. In another incident of rape, an 11-year-old boy employed at a popular café on Satiana Road was allegedly molested by two other workers identified as Arshad and Zahoor. The victim, a resident of Chak No 279GB Jaranwala, was lured by the other two employees and sodomised. Later, the suspects fled the scene with the help of café owner Zahoor. Civil Line Police Station and Batala Colony Police registered separate cases against the accused under Sections 376 and 377.
