Stipend for exam staff in remote areas increased
The Federal Board of Education has decided to provide incentives to examination staff deputed in remote areas of the country.
The Board of Governors (BoG) of the Federal Board of Education (FBE) decided to pay an additional Rs7,000 to superintendents while the deputy superintendent and practical examiners will receive an additional Rs5,000 and Rs4,000 respectively.
FBE documents, some 130 examination centres were set up in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) of which 26 examination centres were located in places where the staff faced difficulties in reaching the area or covering cost transport, accommodation, food and other expenses.
The areas recognized as tough or hard areas include Wana, Miranshah, Parachinar, Sisi, Haramosh, Rattu, Darla Bala, Minimarg, Qamari, Kharmang, Turmak, Umat, Phandar, Olding, Rondo, Talo, Keris, Gulmit, Sost, Oshkandis, Deniwar, Laos, Gauri Kot, Skardu, Gunnar farm, Thagis, and Nakyal.
At a meeting on December 1, the BoG said there were a few other areas which had been considered as difficult and will soon be added to this list. It also approved additional benefits for examination staff in these areas.
