The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday approved Rs16 million for the security of Park Enclave-I.
Applications from renowned firms and companies have also been sought in the said regard, said a statement issued by the authority on Friday. An electric barrier apart from security cameras have also been installed at the enclave gate for enhanced security. Besides enhancing the security of the housing project,
CDA has also paid over Rs100 million to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to lay the network of gas supply in the Park Enclave-I. SNGPL will lay a 10-inch diameter and 800 metre-long pipeline which will connect to an eight-inch diameter 700-meter long external pipeline, that will link with a sixinch diameter 1.8km-long gas pipeline feeding a four-inch diameter 2.5 km-long pipeline connecting to two-inch diameter 9.2km-long and 1.25 inch 5.6km-long pipeline reaching consumers in Park Enclave-I.
Meanwhile, the installation of LED lights in the project has also been completed, the statement said. The CDA management aspires to turn Park Enclave-I into a model, modern, and state-of-the-art housing project. Hence, the authority did not only ensure completion of the delayed development works but also provided the required funds. They also ensured effective monitoring of works, ensuring almost completion of Park enclave-I. An extra park will be built for the residents. More fruits and fruitful plants under plantation drive are also being planted to enhance the beauty and greenery of the sector. The four boundary walls of the enclave have also been completed.
A bridge leading to Park Enclave has been opened for traffic after its completion in the first phase of the project to make the enclave more accessible. The bridge has been built to cross a seasonal drain. CDA officials said that with work in the first phase of Park Enclave almost complete, the construction was a key part of the puzzle in making the residential housing scheme a success amongst residents of the capital. They added that with the inauguration of the bridge, infrastructure development Park Enclave I has neared completion as well.
Park Enclave I had been launched almost a decade ago but development works there remained stalled causing frustration and anger amongst allottees. Work on the project was expedited in recent years while a third phase was also launched where it received around 1,700 applications for just 1,064 plots during recent balloting. Meanwhile, construction on the next phase of the Islamabad Expressway Signal-Free Corridor (Gulberg-Rawat) is expected to commence in the coming days. The project will help regulate traffic flow on one of the most traffic-heavy artery of the city, said a top official of the CDA.
