Covid in Punjab: 535 new cases, 30 deaths

Cumulative death toll climbs to 3,452 in province

Authorities confirm as many as 535 new coronavirus cases and 30 deaths across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

According to the record shared by the spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Wednesday, the number of coronavirus cases in the province climbed to 128,673.

The department also recorded the Covid-19 death aggregate at 3,452 in the province since the outbreak.

Moreover, the data table shared by the P&SHD states that 354 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Lahore, 72 in Rawalpindi, 19 in Pakpatan, 18 in Multan, 13 in Faisalabad and 10 in Sahiwal district during the last 24 hours.

Other districts that reported new cases were: 6 in Rajanpur, 6 in Jehlum, 4 in Sargodha, 4 in Bahawalpur, 4 in Sialkot, 4 in Nankana Sahib, 4 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 4 in Khushab, 3 in Sheikhupura, 3 in Mandi Bahauddin, 3 in Rahimyar Khan, 3 in Bahawalnagar, 3 in Gujranwala, 3 in Lodharan, 2 in Muzaffargarh, 2 in Okara, 2 in Mianwali, 2 in Jhang, 1 in Kasur, 1 in Attock, 1 in Narowal, 1 in Gujrat, 1 in Khanewal, 1 in Chiniot and 1 in Bhakkar.

The Punjab health department has conducted 2,223,422 covid tests up to the present. At least 115,424 Covid-19 positive patients have recovered in the province.
