18 suspects rounded up, drugs, guns recovered

Several absconders also apprehended

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Police has arrested as many as 18 outlaws, including six proclaimed offenders, from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroin, alcohol and weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday

The Kohsar police apprehended three suspects including Ishaq Khan, Shahid and Irfan Masih and allegedly recovered 1.4 kilogrammes of hashish, 350 grammes of heroin and 20 litres of alcohol from their possession.

Similarly, the Ramana police arrested Ghulam Noor and recovered 200 grammes of heroin from his possession. The Industrial Area police apprehended two men, Junaid Masih and Shaukat Masih, and recovered 260 grammes of hashish from their possession.

The Shams Colony police apprehended a suspected drug peddler, identified as Nazar Ali, and recovered 1.5 kilogrammes of hashish from his possession. The Shahzad Town police arrested Waqar, recovering 113 grammes of heroin from his possession.

The Khanna police apprehended two suspects, Umair and Arslan, and recovered 1.78 kilogrammes of hashish, two Kalashnikovs, two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession.

The Koral police arrested Zafar Iqbal and Idrees and recovered 500 grammes of heroin from their possession.

Separately, the Islamabad Police nabbed six proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various areas of the city.
