Clerics back SOPs to contain Covid

PESHAWAR:

Clerics on Saturday assured the provincial government of full support in implementing the standard operating procedures (SOPs) prescribed to keep the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic from spreading, especially during its second wave.

The assurances were given during a meeting convened on Saturday by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Auqaf, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs Department on the directives of the provincial chief secretary on devising a strategy to combat the current surge in Covid-19 cases.

The meeting chaired by Auqaf Secretary Shahid Sohail and was attended by Chief Khateeb Maulana Muhammad Ismail, district and tehsil khutaba, aima of Auqaf department and other officials. APP
