Blood sugar monitoring device launched in Pakistan
The Roche Diabetes Care has launched the Accu-Chek Guide, a blood glucose monitoring device, and a diabetes data management app for Pakistan called, ‘mySugr'.
Speaking at the launch event former cricketer Wasim Akram and ambassador for Roches Diabetes Care Pakistan said that the product “is a user-friendly device to check blood glucose levels. It is surprisingly smart and clever.”
Akram, who is also a diabetic patient and was the chief guest at the event, noted that the device has unique features and is spill-resistant.
“Now I can conveniently apply blood sample anywhere on the yellow application area and get 10/10 accurate results,” he said.
The application can be synced to the device metre and sync readings enabling diabetic patients to track their sugar levels easily and share with their doctors easily as well, Akram added.
The MySugr application is used by over 2 million people across the globe and is now being launched in Pakistan, according to the country head of Roche Diabetes in Pakistan.
