Cops arrest would-be ‘kidnapper’

The Madadgar 15 police arrested a man who was allegedly trying to kidnap a nine-year-old girl in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Saturday.

The girl’s mother lodged an FIR, informing the police that her daughter, Rukhsar, was going to the madrassa where she studied when a man named Siddiq grabbed her arm and tried to pull her along with him. However, she narrated, Rukhsar created a hue and cry, at which passersby informed the police.

The Madadgar police handed him over to the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police. Further investigation is underway.
