‘Eve-teaser’ kills man for protecting sister

Victim had earlier warned suspect to stop advances towards hi sister

An alleged eve-teaser shot dead a man for reportedly warning the suspect to desist from teasing his sister.

Police said that the daughter of Javedul Sharif, a resident of a village near Jaranwala, had been allegedly eve-teased by Bilal Allah Rakha, a resident of his neighborhood.

Rashid Javed, 23, had warned Bilal not to tease his sister.

Enraged over the prohibition, Bilal, on his way back from duty, shot Rashid near the village.

The victim was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a married woman was gunned down at her home by a guest.

Police said that in Millat Town, 20-year-old Sadia, daughter of Muhammad Taj, was gunned down by the accused Imran who had reached to meet her in a car.

After being shot in the head, Sadia died on the spot while the accused managed to escape the crime scene in his car.

Homicide officer Sub-Inspector Arshad stated that the body of the deceased was immediately retrieved and shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for postmortem. Police also began searching for the accused Imran.

Incidents of murder continue unabated across the province. On October 6, a man was allegedly shot dead by his rivals in Dawood Khel area, Sargodha.

The victim Sher Khan, a resident of Majeed Nagar, was traveling on a motorcycle when unidentified persons opened fire at him. Consequently, he sustained critical injuries and was killed on the spot.

On August 31, two men were shot dead in separate incidents in the provincial capital. A man identified as Zulqarnain was shot dead in Shahdara Town area. Reportedly, the victim was an employee of a security department and came home to spend the holidays. He was traveling on a motorcycle. When reached a deserted area, some unidentified suspects intercepted and shot at him. He sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Separately, a trader was killed by robbers when he offered resistance in the Shadbagh area.

Police said that Muhammad Naseer was going to Harbanspura in a vehicle along with his brother Muhammad Yaseen when two robbers stopped them and attempted to loot them at gunpoint. When the victims offered resistance, the robbers opened fire on them and fled the scene with Rs800,000. As a result, Naseer sustained severe bullet injuries and died before reaching the hospital.
