Sindh Rangers nab three in separate raids

Nabbed suspects confessed to their involvement

The Sindh Rangers claimed to have arrested three persons on Tuesday reportedly involved in the murder of a transgender person and robberies in separate intelligence based operations in the city.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, operations were carried out in Shah Faisal Colony and Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Suspect Muhammad Akhtar was arrested first, said the spokesperson, adding that Akhtar confessed during interrogation to murdering of transperson Sabir alias Angoori in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on August 25, 2020.

The spokesperson told that Akhtar further revealed that he and his two accomplices, namely, Abdul Ghaffar and Allah Ditta, had stolen Rs60,000 and two smartphones from Angoori’s house after killing her for resisting the robbery.

The paramilitary force then arrested other members of Akhtar’s group, identified as Sudhir Ahmed and Muhammad Fakhar, and has launched raids for the arrest of Ghaffar and Allah Ditta, according to the spokesperson.

The spokesperson further stated that the nabbed suspects confessed to their involvement in several robberies near Nipa, Gurumandir and Gulshan-e-Iqbal areas.
