Call to extend board exam registration date

Representatives of private schools and colleges on Monday demanded that the government immediately announce a relief package for them due to the difficulties they face in sending admissions forms for matriculation and intermediate exams.

In a meeting of all members of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPCSA) on Monday, chaired by its central president Malik Abrar Hussain, the issue of obstruction in admissions to board exams were raised. Members raised said due to the forced closure of educational institutions, the process of sending admissions and registration forms of students for intermediate and matriculation exams has become difficult.

They further said the government immediately withdraw its decision to seal schools which had been strictly adhering to the novel coronavirus guidelines to stop wasting the time of students and to keep the thousands of people associated with the sector employed. They further demanded the government announce a relief package for private educational institutions within which they should be provided interest-free loans on easy terms.
