ISLAMABAD:

Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Ameen on Saturday appreciated the Pakistani people for their sympathy and support for the Palestinian cause.

In a statement on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1977, Ambassador Ameen said that the Palestinian people highly value the historical relations with Pakistan for the past eight decades.

“We are proud of Pakistan’s friendship and we feel stronger with its support on official and public levels,” he said.

Ameen further said November 29 reflects the adherence of the vast majority of countries in the world to the values of international justice and the need to achieve security and peace in the region.
